PHILIP LIM PASHLI SATCHEL

I have a dliemma and I really need some help. I got this bag for Christmas. I've been searching for the perfect bag for the last year. Well it arrived and I'm on the fence. The bag is beautiful, but I don't love it. Thats so weird, because I've never met a bag I didn't like. LOL. I think I know what the answer is, but I want to hear from you guys. What do you think ?

  1. I think this bag is stunning and beautiful, but it has to be you.If its not you, return it.

I have the same dilemma,i was looking for a spring bag and was close to getting a balenciaga city, but decided on the chloe medium paraty in brown sugar(you can see it at barneys.com) and now i am on the fence. I love it,but then the leather is not as soft as the marcie i have and i am not sure about the shade of tan.
    I love the shape though!
Sorry to be off topic, but go with your heart.

    1. Its not that it's not beautiful bag, but I'm tired of the "arm bag". The bag that I love is the Philip Lim Pashli Messenger bag, but its sold out everywhere. When I had the opportunity, I hesitated and got the satchel instead, because I thought it was a wiser choice. I should have went with my instinct. Not to mention, the satchel comes with an arm strap, but the placement of the straps seem awkward. I looked at the Large Chloe Marcie, but it doesn't have a crossbody strap. I may have to take this as a sign that I should save my money until I find the bag that I love. As always, Thank you Ina for the advice.

  2. Oh no! It's such a beautiful Pashli, but if it isn't giving you goosebumps and urges to wear it now and with everything in your closet, it might be better to return it and find a different bag.

I don't mind a bag that I have to carry on my arm, but I try to avoid buying that style because it's not my favorite. I totally get why you don't like it because I feel the same way and even though I love the look of that bag, I know it isn't for me no matter how many times I see it on blogs and drool. Too bad they don't make the Phillip Lim bag I have anymore because it looks just like a medium Pashli but it has the handles and a long strap.
I say keep your eye out for the messenger bag you really want. There are always new styles coming out and always the chance for you to find a popback or just luck out on what you really want.

    1. Angela, can I tell you how many time I took the bag out of the box ? I looked at it, I put my personal items in it, I walked around with it and nothing. I felt absolutely nothing. My friends gushed over this bag and I felt like "Eh, its ok." Well, I went to post office yesterday and returned it. I've decided that I'm no longer keeping items I don't love. I will continue to keep my eye out for the Pashli messenger and bother the hell out of Saks everyday. Thank you Angela & Ina.

    1. Gigi, I didn't love it. I took it out of the box and felt absolutely nothing. That has never happened to me. So many bloggers have beeb singing the praises of this bag, when in actuality the bag was quite clumsy. There were so many cons with this bag, too many to justify keeping it.
